Do you find me quiet in thought tonight?
Am i not but a shadow on the sea?
adrift and floating far ‘til out of sight
soft shallows murmur lullabies to me.
Seduced by lapping shores the sweetest kiss
of longing finds the rhythm of my soul,
into this flow streams an ecstatic bliss
embracing ripples soothed by ocean’s roll.
So leave me be whilst in my own caress
for here there is no depth or shape to keep
like clouds i am, then i am not or less,
so sensual just let me slip to sleep.
Refreshed, my eyes seek out a bright new day
Where sunlight glints on waves across the bay.
