The Yellow Rose ~ a double triolet

So pretty you are sitting there
sweet rosebud in your yellow dress;
no other flower could compare.
So pretty you are, sitting there
with your petals outspread so fair,
you've won my heart i must confess.
So pretty, you are sitting there
sweet rosebud in your yellow dress.
For friendship is the yellow rose
a thoughtful gift to say you care,
and gently in the garden grows.
For friendship, is the garden rose
a secret sign for she that knows
he has a loving heart to share?
For friendship is, the yellow rose;
a thoughtful gift to say you care

What a gorgeously beautiful write this is, Stella. I especially adore the second stanza...it really speaks to my heart, Ma'am. Most excellent writing, indeed!

This is a glorious writing, with a stunning yellow rose to accompany this impeccably crafted double triolet. I love everything about it and appreciate the turn you have made in the second stanza. I will be dreaming of beautiful yellow roses tonight thank you Stella.
