The stars in the sky continue to shine
But they never come in contact
Yet, we all gaze at them with love
Each night they make a comeback.
Are they trying to show us
How to make it on our own
Go forth and twinkle like a star
And then like them go home.
But does that star get lonely
Does it sit and wait like me
For the company of others
That I seek but never see.
So, I sparkle at the party
See me shining at the dance
It's so lonely in this crowded room
