Fantasy

If you were the lovely moon
that I admire from afar
I could come and sit beside you
and be your favourite star

I would shine like a diamond
a beacon to your glow,
we could light up the heavens
wherever we would go

You could rock me in your cradle
and soft lull me to sleep
ask the angels to protect us
and pray our souls to keep

When the dawn of morning came
we could disappear from view,
find another world to light
from the love between us two

The night skies would adore us
for being the friends we are
if you were the lovely moon
and I your favourite star

A glorious romantic fantasy and as your name Stella is a star you do shine like a diamond and complement the moon beautifully. It is a lovely surprise to find you posting again Stella and I hope each day your hand improves more and more....

Friendship and love definitely found within this softly exquisite verse, Stella. How lovely it is to think on being away from the world while being accompanied by a loved one, Ma'am.
