Soft the sonata of winter,
a hush of snowflakes all around.
Sweet and clear is the melody;
whispering breezes, psalms of sound.
Crystalline the chimes of winter,
diamond bright and all aglow;
frozen trees play quivering chords,
percussion the shimmering snow.
Exquisite the songs of winter,
pure, peaceful voices throng the air;
empty your mind, listen awhile,
God’s symphony is everywhere.
