Who knew, I would cry for you
You swept me off my feet,
And stole my heart.

Who knew, I would die for you
You made up fantasises
Lied about our future.

Who knew I would mourn you
After the lies where just stories.

Who knew, my eyes would cry

I feel every line in this well-crafted verse of regret for lost trust when love hurts enough to produce mascara -tears. An exceptional piece Sye and thank you for sharing it.
